Abhas Misraraj (he/him) is a multipassionate creative who is passionate about conservation, creativity, and spirituality.

He holds a B.A. in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and after working for several years as a wildlife biologist, he is now the product designer at iNaturalist. He leads Seek by iNaturalist, which in 2023 has over 6 million downloads across iOS and Android and is used worldwide by students, nature enthusiasts, and anyone curious about nature. Abhas is particularly passionate about connecting BIPOC folks to nature & empowering community-based conservation in biodiverse developing countries.

Abhas’s current creative mediums include photography, design, videography, writing, painting, pottery, and Kathak dance. Guided by curiosity and creativity, his dream is to continue to expand and find the intersections between the artistic skills he’s always learning. Abhas primarily explores the connections between humans and nature in his photography, and the intersections of identity and self-discovery through his ongoing writing practice.

Abhas is the creator of Soulstellation, where he hosts workshops and creates products that help people connect more deeply with their true selves through values exploration and shadow work. Through his work, he explores the depths of the unconscious mind and focuses on complete and total acceptance of self.

In his free time, Abhas enjoys frequenting bookstores and cafes, planning adventures across the globe, and creating meaningful experiences for himself and others.
